A piece done for my husband for his very very very good boi, Zeus, who passed away shortly after Thanksgiving this year. I had the privilege of living with him for a few years, and can attest to his unparalleled Goodness. We miss him terribly.

As such I really put my all into this, because few people really get to know a really, REALLY good dog, and Zeus earned his stripes over and over and over.. He is the standard to which our younger pups are held, and it's a very, very high bar to set. But he was exceptional.

My work does not measure up to him, but it is what I can do and thus I did! I did my best to capture him, his golden little spirit, alertness, and his funny little ears, of course <3

There won't be another quite like him.

Done in Krita, took a few days because i really wanted to try and make it clean and clear. I'm still struggling with color quite a bit but I feel like maybe i'm on the right track. Constructive crit always appreciated. It has it's flaws, but I'm quite happy with it. Though my cropping game is wack.
