Alex Story 2
Continuation of this little Alex weight gain story.
Alex sat in his bed… waiting. He felt like that’s all he really did lately. This leg injury had turned out to be the worst thing that had ever happened to him.
“No…” he whispered as a flash of his mother came to mind. He quickly willed it away.
The past four weeks had passed slowly. He missed working out at the spa every day. He missed walking down to the beach. Worst of all, he was starting to feel weak. He’d tried doing some upper body workouts, but even just hopping around his room gathering up his weights was too much for his leg to handle. The pain had started to come back more and more every day until he had to check in with Harvey once again.
“Alex, you’re trying to do too much too soon.” Harvey chastised him. “The further damage you’ve done to your leg is going to cost you at least another month of recovery time. You must take it easy!”
He sighed and looked down at his abdomen. He lifted his tee shirt surveying the damage. Where his abs used to be now sat a pathetic looking paunch. Not only from sitting around with nothing to do, but boredom had lead to more snacking than he anticipated. Typically he’d eat enough every day to feed an army, but when he was working out this hadn’t been an issue, but his appetite had only seemed to grow with his lack of movement. He grabbed the soft fat between his fingers and felt it. He’d never had fat on his body like this before… it was weird. He couldn’t wait until he could get back to his normal routine and get his hard body back.
Haley had come to visit him a few times, but never stuck around long. She’d since gone out of town with Emily to visit their family and wouldn’t be back for a few weeks. So Alex was not only bored, but growing more and more lonely. Luckily Noah stopped by every few days just to check up on him and sometimes drop off some goodies. Alex was grateful for the company. During their last conversation, Noah had mentioned the possibility of Alex coming to stay at the farm for part of his recovery. “Shane and Sebastian are usually around the house during the day, so you’d at least have someone to talk to.” Noah had told him. But Alex didn’t want to be a burden. “It’s no problem, really. If you’re really concerned about it, I’m sure I could find a few simple things you could help me out with. Shucking vegetables, that sort of thing. I’d be grateful to have the help!”
So it was decided that Alex would spend a few weeks at the farmhouse and now he was waiting for Noah to pick him up. ‘I wonder how we’ll get there…’ he thought ’I don’t think Noah has a car and I can’t make it all that way on my crutches…’ Just as the thought began to pass he heard the familiar sounds of hooves clomping outside ‘You’ve got to be kidding me…’ he thought. He hopped onto his good leg and picked up his backpack, slinging it over his shoulder before steadying himself on his crutches.
Outside, Shane was stepping down off the horse while Noah remained on the saddle.
“Hey.” Shane said with the usual amount of enthusiasm.
Alex stared at the horse bewildered. Noticing his unease Noah assured him “We’ll go slow, you just hang on to me and we’ll be back at the farm before you know it.”
“Okay… how… uh…” Noah shifted on his crutches “How will I get up? If you and Shane lift me… I’m not sure I can steady myself while you climb back up…”
Shane took Alex’s backpack and attached it to the horse’s saddle. Alex held onto his arm for balance as Shane took the crutches and secured them under the saddle straps.
“Don’t worry, Shane can handle it.” Noah said with a smile.
“What?? No! I’m heavier than I look!” Alex pawed at his soft belly and thought about his recent weight gain, he had no idea how much he weighed currently, but there was no way Shane could possibly lift him by himself. Just as he finished the thought he suddenly found himself hoisted into the air. Instinctively he grabbed the side of Shane’s head for fear he was going to be dropped. But Shane carried him as though he was a bag of chips and easily placed him onto the saddle.
“I’ll walk Dusty back to the farm.” Shane pointed to Alex’s dog with his thumb. “I gotta stop at Pierre’s for some stuff first, but I’ll meet you back home.”
“See ya, soon.” Noah said, and the horse took off in a slow gallop.
Alex held Noah’s waist tightly, the thought of riding the horse all the way back to the farm still made him nervous. He looked back over his shoulder to see Shane disappearing in the distance. “He is like… freakishly strong…” he said.
“Yeah, he’s pretty great.” Noah laughed.
