With some prompting from
MarcusStarkiller I decided to take a stab at a rendition of my own TIE fighter variant: the Guardian. A sort of culmination of the TIE Defender, Avenger, and Hunter, with a bit of inspiration from the Eta-2 Actis Jedi Fighter and the old Sith Fury. Not 100 percent happy with all the shapes as they came out here, might do some further tweaking, but the basic idea is there. Essentially; a heavy fighter which goes in the total opposite direction of the Tarkin Doctrine "swarm of disposable fighters" tactic; matching the Rebellion for their more elite fighters as the Defender and Hunter did. Also; designed to be less carrier-reliant, not only with proper landing gear/claws to land and launch from non-ideal locations, but also with a hyperdrive and astro-mech droid to act as both navicomputer and power management system for the fighter's numerous secondary systems so the pilot and gunner can focus on their respective jobs.
Quibbles:
- Probably should have included one with the landing legs extended for illustrative purposes
- Couldn't settle on the grey or "stormy sea blue" for its hull color so went with the latter since it's the one the Interceptor and Hunter used
- Might do another "mini" version of this with some alternate paint schemes; maybe even a Royal Guard red

Hehe, thanks a lot Lig: and hehe, funny coincidence that: was having trouble as I said deciding what color to go with as the base hull color:
- TIE/LNs in most renditions use the grey-white color
- By Empire and Jedi TIE/INs (interceptors) and TIE/SAs (bombers) both used this "stormy sea blue" color, as did the TIE/HU "Hunters" in Rogue Squadron 3
- TIE/D "Defenders" are normally shown in either white or royal guard red.
- Where as Advanced and Avengers go back to the grey usually.
So yeah; bit of a deceptively large number of colors to pick from.
