I've been using Sketchup to make mostly interior spaces and some exterior spaces. Blender, well, i'm slowly learning that (again) and the 2.8 Beta changed a lot of things. It's less cluttered and intimidating. I hope to fully model a basic character body sometime.
Made this in Bender when I was playing with stuff, https://www.furaffinity.net/view/22838659/

I just played with various functions. It was going to be some futuristic tower but then turned into a lamp when I inserted a glowing sphere in it.
I even made a "moon" using Blender's micro displacement feature, https://www.furaffinity.net/view/22508825/ If you look at the edges of the sphere, you'll see that the edges aren't perfectly smooth. The displacement map actually creates the crater rims. It's useful for making mountains from a bump map.
