Vladimir Rodionov jumped into Reineke's body, took possession of him, fused with him and turned him into a zorgoia.
He chose a soft fusion to look cute. But Vladimir Rodionov makes a bit of his colors visible in the maw to give a hint.
Of course, a more direct fusion is possible where own parts are visible.
Poor Reineke, looking so cute for a time that has to be hard for him. Also Vladimir uses Reineke as his airplane for a time.
