Summer 1994 and Loram Railgrinder steps lightly railroad east through Perham Minnesota. A day later it had gone through when I wasn't in town and it was clear they had run through town and reprofiled the railhead.
Originally shot on Kodak Gold 200ASA with a Konica Aiβorg 'point and shoot'. I loved this camera and it was my first really good 35mm camera. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5652081 I still have it today, it even has a half shot roll in it. Until I really want to buy a battery for it it'll stay in my drawer, superceeded by my Nikon D200.
The negative was re-shot RAW at 100ASA. Colour curves were used in Photoshop to correct negative orange cast and then inverted. Then brought into Aperture for further tweaks.

Actually, the colours are far closer than what I started with.
For whatever reason this set of negatives are really off.
Also the sun angle was too high to get good detail of what is under the sill of the grinder which has left those areas underexposed . In addition this is also one of the first negatives I did with my new slider copier and there is a lens refraction (note the yellow and blue banding on the vertical edges where there is high contrast) that further complicates things.
