Our spirit is just a wanderer in this creation, and our mind is our spiritual path which we have brought with us from the beyond, because our mind has been created from the beyond and the spirit walks on the mind. Our mind is just like a veil, it is darkness and ignorance and the beyond is light and truth. Whenever we work on our mind, not for our mind but on our mind, we remove a part of the veil that covers the beyond. The spiritual path is about letting go of all our darknesses, until there is nothing left but truth. Because everything else is darkness in the light of truth. Only when we have mastered our personal spiritual path, we can leave the realms of illusion behind, because the mind is illusion and the beyond is truth, and only those who are free of their mind, of the veil, can find the beyond within themselves.
Spiritual growth and enlightenment is the transcendence of human psychology into higher consciousness and the transformation from mind to no-mind. To experience the bliss of desirelessness is liberation of ego, it is to attain the consciousness of a saint. This transformation from mind to no-mind can only happen in meditation. This is why the work of those who attempt to walk the path of liberation and sainthood is meditation. Meditation gives access to hightened states of consciousness and is our contribution to the evolution of the universe. The human thinking mind, the dimension of time and desire, is only a very narrow state of consciousness. The majority of the world's population lives in this state of consciousness right now. So called enlightened beings or holy beings, saints and mystics, live in the hightened state of consciousness beyond time and desire. Even though they are the minority, this is not a path that is limited to only a few. Everybody can choose the sacred path, to become a blissful being. The universe is calling for it, but the thinking mind usually creates so much noise, that this calling cannot be heard. But we can hear it when thinking has become so conscious, that we can go beyond thinking, which means evolving beyond the collective human psychology and reaching a state of spiritual enlightenment and universal oneness.
To be caught in a psychology means to be caught in the dimension of time and desire. To have a psychology means to have desires. The psychology itself is the root of suffering in the universe, because the psychology is complexity. The human has become the most complex being on earth, one can also say the "crone of creation", and that is also the reason why he suffers the most from his own psychology and its needs. The psychology has more desires than the body has. Body and spirit become more sane and balanced when there is no psychology, because the psychology is the disbalance. The human is a dualistic being, psychology is duality. But the enlightened human is beyond duality because he is beyond psychology. Meditation or spiritual enlightenment, the transcendence of the dualistic psychology, is therefore balance. When there is balance, body and spirit are absolutely sane, and the dimension of time and desire fades away. To go beyond psychology, humanity, is evolution of consciousness, from disbalance to balance. It is liberation of human suffering. To drop all the psychological burdens, until there is only bliss. This bliss can only be experienced by dropping the complete human psychology and becoming meditative. It is in a way a remembrance. It is an awakening. The path into divine consciousness is hidden inside of everyone, and it is awakened through deep meditation.
The collective consciousness of humanity consists of different layers. The lower, more superficial planes of consciousness are just unconsciousness or not evolved consciousness, which means, consciousness does not observe the thinking mind at all and is therefore ruled by it. Unconscious acts made of greed, lust, pride, sloth, gluttony, envy or wrath, are what create disbalance and suffering in the universe. Also called the seven sins in religion, because being ruled by these lower states of consciousness is what leads to suffering. Images of environmental pollution and exploitation, overpopulation, big business, poverty, war, national and religious pride, competetiveness, consumerism and so on, illustrate the disbalance of consciousness on the collective level. It is all caused by the complex psychology of the human mind. There are more or less extreme tendencies, but being identified with the content in the mind is always disbalance. Only meditative intuitive consciousness and the abscence of thoughts is absolute balance and sanity of spirit. Thoughts always create an inner tension, at least when we believe them to be real.
On the individual level, the disbalance manifests itself as negativity, general discontentment and intolerance, seriousness, aggression, stress, boredom, addiction to media, dependency on stimulant substances, repressed or fetishized sexuality, guilt, jealousy, judgement, possessiveness, shallowness, need for power or attention, inferiority or superiority and much more. Since all these things exist inside the collective human mind, the only way to go beyond it is to face it, become conscious about it, and transform it into forgiveness, compassion and bliss. This is also called transcendence of the ego, of egoism. It is human to be egoic. The collective human ego is a collective disbalance in consciousness. To transcend the collective human ego is the path of enlightenment. Transcendence of human egoism is the path from human ignorance into unconditional love consciousness, it is the evolution of a human, disbalanced consciousness, to a saint, balanced consciousness. A saint is someone who has become his true self, pure consciousness, without the dualistic psychology and without ego. The collective human psychology, the ego, is like a dream, a shadow, it is the false self, which covers the true self, pure consciousness.
So the thinking mind creates a dimension of disbalance in the universe, it creates the sensation of being separate from the universe, the idea of a separate "me", the ego. The ego lives in a universe of desire, attachment and materialism, in a universe of separateness, greed and disbalance, which means no love consciousness and lack of oneness. This worldly egoism is just like a dream. Once the mind starts thinking, consciousness falls asleep into that dream and then it begins to create the psychology. To think and follow ego means to be out of balance and oneness with the universe and become caught in a state of separateness. To go beyond this path by living desire consciously and transcending it, accepting all aspects of humanity and becoming meditative means to get in balance with the universe again and to grow into enlightenment, to awaken from the dream that the mind has created. The only way to find this absolute balance is to let go of worldly attachments that have been created during the dream, because the moment somebody creates an attachment, they have to live in fear of losing it. This fear of losing an attachment is disbalance and keeps consciousness caught in the state of separateness.
Ancient historical images illustrate that the struggling, tense and fearful ways of thinking in society, and the desires that we bring into this world, are leftovers of our evolution as humans, a collective memory. In ancient times, the human had to follow his survival instinct in order to conquer the material world and be on the top of evolution and he had to conquer the other sex to pass on his genes. The human used his ego to conquer the world, and the next, more conscious step in human evolution is that the human conquers his ego, his egoic desires and goes beyond what he has conquered, expanding in meditation into a higher plane of consciousness by letting go of his ego, which is the path into divine consciousness, the sacred path of transcendence.
This way, the human who has healed himself from his ego becomes "holy", he becomes a healer. His presence helps to heal those who are open to heal themselves and want to find spiritual enlightenment, too. The most important practice of healing is non-attachment. The more a human becomes attached to the material world and his image, the less holy he is, or in other words, the more his consciousness becomes attached to the content in the mind. No matter if it is an attachment to a nation, to a class, to another human, or to a religion also. The enlightened beings that the religions have been formed around were not attached to the religion, only the followers were attached as long as they did not transcend their minds like the enlightened beings did. Just following a religion does not make a human holy, but the understanding and the transcendence of the religion does. Because the religion exists in the mind and enlightenment is the transcendence of the mind and its attachments.
The higher planes of consciousness move toward spirituality, non-attachment and transcendence of materialism. Consciousness turns inward for meditation and spiritual growth, instead of seeking fulfillment of desire in the outer material world as a separate "me". The spiritual awakening triggers consciousness to observe the mind and to learn not to be ruled by the mind and its worldly egoism, moving toward a state of balance and inner peace. Images of enlightened human beings whose souls have ascended into higher planes of consciousness, religious scenes, esoteric symbols, psychedelic energy phenomena and divine vision, illustrate this. In meditation, the separate "me" dissolves into a state of oneness with the universe, into blissful consciousness which is without desire and without attachment to the thinking mind.
Expanding consciousness requires in a way discipline and awareness because the mind is afraid of the silent "gaps" wich are called meditation, and so it keeps producing thoughts, and these thoughts are the reason why human beings cannot allow themselves to just be and find balance, to be content with simplicity. The thoughts are just like leftovers of the unconscious dream which can be transcended and transformed into consciousness. The mind is just a biological machine which lives from problems, it needs problems which it can solve, so it creates them just to solve them, and then it creates new ones simply for the sake of thinking. This way, consciousness cannot expand. Only in the gaps, when there is no thinking, there is consciousness. This consciousness is always present, but it cannot be perceived as long as the mind keeps creating thoughts, so meditation to train the mind to stop thinking is the way into higher consciousness.
The hightened state of consciousness can also be called universal consciousness, the divine, the beyond, god, spirit, or the soul. Religions have different names for it, like nirvana, moksha or tao. Or we can call it "the kingdom of heaven". Letting go of the separate "me" and becoming one with this hightened state of consciousness is the path of liberation from worldly egoism and balances the universe. The highest plane of consciousness which can be spoken about is pure consciousness, unconditional love and eternal bliss. It is the death of the separate "me" and the awakening of the soul. Awakened from the dream of the mind, the soul is just meditative and still living in the body, maybe to support the universe on the path of liberation. The death of the ego in deep meditation is the completion of a soul's evolution in the material world, which means that it has ascended into the beyond, but it can still use the thinking mind for functioning in the material world, if wanted.
Meditation is a cleansing, a purification of the conditioning in society and this way it is spiritual growth. The conditioning is just like a machine which is not conscious about itself, and that is why it is filled with ancient impurities, untruths, beliefs, ideologies and fears that form the collective ego of humanity. The truth is pure meditative consciousness, which is revealed when consciousness has transcended the conditioned collective mind which is suffering in the dimension of time and desire. Transcendence is liberation from this dimension. Becoming conscious about the conditioning in you and transcending it is the beginning of a new, more evolved, more loving, more easy, less fearful consciousness. A consciousness which is more than just human, it only lives in a human body but it is divine and transcendental, just as it has been before thinking has started. It is a remembrance, it is the realization that "the kingdom of heaven is still within you", it just has been forgotten because of your conditioning in unconsciousness. The consciousness of a saint is clean of the society, this is why he can live in unconditional love and truth.
In deep meditation, the purified soul is ready to ascend into divine consciousness. The soul also ascends into this transcendental consciousness when it leaves the body, but it will descend into unconsciousness again in another body to live its last desires and to meditate and cleanse itself from its leftover conditioning and ego, until it becomes pure divine consciousness, which has lived in all true saints and mystics. When you are not able to die in meditation, when you did not attain the state of pure consciousness at the day of your death, then you will also die in disbalance and in unconsciousness, and you will fall asleep into the dream of the dualistic psychology and the dimension of time and desire again, because you were not fully conscious. Only when you can die in meditation and your consciousness is clean of all thinking, you die into balance and into consciousness, and you can leave the world of human suffering behind.
Before the first thought appeared in the universe, there was light and the human was one with god. But the thought has created the dimension of time and desire, where the human has become separate from god. When the last thought disappears from the universe, the human becomes one with god again. A meditative being is one with god because it is free of thoughts. The longing to attain liberation from the dimension of time and desire and become one with god while living in your body is the last and the highest desire, when all other human desires have been lived and transcended. Because human evolution is about to come to the realization that no human desire will lead to absolute contentment. Having a family, having a successful business, chasing after wealth, chasing for fame, chasing after men or women, travelling the world, improving our technology etcetera, all those things do not lead to absolute contentment. It is just temporary contentment which satisfies the human ego. The state of consciousness which is absolute contentment is meditation, the transcendence of the never satisfied ego. Here it has reference to "going beyond what you have conquered". This is how the universe evolves through us humans, from unconsciousness into universal consciousness, from disbalance to balance.
This evolution is the enlightenment of a human, from ignorance and fear to innocence and love. The transformed human is free of everything unnatural, because he is free of the conditioned mind. Enlightenment begins with the awareness that the mind has become unnatural, and with the longing to become natural again. The modern mind is filled with so much conditioning and subconscious fears, that the modern human has lost the connection to his intuition, to his spirit. His greed, his ego, cannot allow him to just be natural, and his greed and ego cannot allow others to just be natural. He is so identified with his conditioning, that he lives in fear of letting go of it. Society, the collective ego, cannot allow humans to be natural, because a human that is natural and that can accept to just be natural is a human that is content, and a human that is content with being natural cannot be a gear in consumer society. Consumer society is a state of consciousness of over-thinking, ego, the dimension of fear and greed.
This co-evolution influences the whole body-mind-system of the modern human. Because there is so much conditioning, there is no vision for sacred consciousness. In the lack of sacred consciousness, the human soul is conditioned into an ego, designed by society. By passing on this conditioning on others, he works against enlightenment, against higher consciousness. Work for enlightenment is the cleansing and the transcendence of the conditioning and this cleansing is meditation. Only by letting go of society's conditioning, a human can find his inner middle and become an enlightened being. To just be meditative brings the whole body-mind-system into a state of absolute balance. Because there is no attachment, there is no fear. When there is no fear, there is unconditional love consciousness. A human that is cleansed of society's conditioning has the consciousness of a saint. Because he is natural, because he has let go of his ego, he is truthful consciousness. Consciousness is always truthful, but the conditioning of the ego in society darkens truthfulness. This is why a human who truly wishes to become one with universal consciousness withdraws from society to find his inner middle.
For evolution of consciousness, humanity needs to continue to focus on bringing balance into the universe, by transcending the ego step by step, by liberating his being from the attachments that binds it to the material world, to the known state of consciousness, expanding into the unknown, higher consciousness and transforming himself into a meditative, sacred being made of unconditional love. It is an individual evolution of consciousness, which affects the collective evolution of consciousness. This is the core message of all religions that have been formed around enlightened beings. The conscious modern human has come to the peak of his evolution and if he goes on using his ego to conquer the outer world, he will become more and more unnatural and he will turn the universe more and more into disbalance with his greed and he will never come to a state of absolute balance. To be conscious means to be aware of the lack of inner peace, which is unconsciousness. Wherever there is lack of inner peace, there is ego and greed and where there is ego and greed, there can be no balance and no bliss. Where there is no balance, there is unconsciousness. Where there is balance and peace of mind, there is consciousness and bliss. So, peace of mind is simply the abscence of human ego and greed, which is just like a dream that covers transcendental unconditional love consciousness.
To balance consciousness, it is needed to transcend human greed and evolve inwardly, into transcendental consciousness beyond time and desire, beyond mind and ego. This is what the path of meditation is. It is the path through human psychology, through duality, disbalance and separateness, to balance and oneness, to "the kingdom of heaven". An inner evolution is happening, and this is why there is spirituality. It is about the transformation of human consciousness to divine consciousness. The spiritual path is inside of every human and whenever a human decides to not follow the mind, he tunes into it. Whenever he just watches his mind, he transcends it a little. The evolution toward oneness with the universe and absolute spiritual enlightenment may take the soul through many lives. This evolution is always happening in the here and now.
Spiritual growth and enlightenment is the transcendence of human psychology into higher consciousness and the transformation from mind to no-mind.
