Right now the fox is looking a little flat. What I find really helps is getting a good understanding of the 3D shape. If you visualize what you're drawing as a 3D object rather than drawing on paper, I find that it really helps giving the impression of depth.

You also might benefit from some eye tutorials. Search up online "how to draw eyes" - it's what I did and it really helped. A basic understanding of the parts of the eye always helps, too.

Otherwise, it's not bad overall! With some more practice I think you'll be drawing better in no time! :D

Yeah, I don't generally attempt to draw 3D, but hey, next pic I draw, it'l be more 3D for ya. ;3
As for the eyes... crappy scanners kill quality.
