Long time, no post! Sorry for the absence lately, the last couple months kept me quite busy with a large commission (repairing a Santa doll), Inktober, and getting ready to move into a new place. I finished up my last show for the year (Zinefest Houston) and now ready to settle down for the winter and get back to personal projects!
Anyway, here is a doll I finished earlier this year! Windsong, a special collaboration & commission for a musical client. Applying & styling her hair was a new venture; small wefts were made from a human hair wig & heat-styled using a pencil as a curler. Wooden flute base by James Ferry (https://www.instagram.com/jimmy_ferry/ ).
Additional materials include wool, polymer clay, feathers (from my bird), papier-mâché, moss, sand, and faux foliage.
