While I wouldnt call myself a Dick Tracy fan per se, I AM a fan of the varied and imaginative criminals Tracy fought during the strips heyday in the 30′s and 40′s. A product of the real life “Public Enemy” era, the strip originally featured slightly more realistic criminals, most notably Alphonse “Big Boy” Caprice, who was just different enough from the real Al Capone to keep bad people from visiting Chester Gould at night, but is far more known for the colorful villains of the 40′s. Here I’ve included most of them, alongside the somewhat more obscure Purple Cross Gang from 1936, and Mr Bribery, one of the few memorable villains from the strips crapshow 60′s era.
