Holy cow! I don't even remember this YCH!
How long ago was this YCH again? Please remind me; I've had a lot happen here lately, and it's hard to keep up with everything.
But still... What a flippin' sight to see when I logged on to my account! This is marvelous and a perfect way to kick off the winter blahs!
Where to even begin? Marvelous work on the poses and the chibi structures for all parties present; very active and engaging with the environment which is very fitting for a beach piece, from playing around with that beach ball to building that sand castle! For Leo's presence in particular, amazing job having him resting comfortably in the sand and giving that snow owl griffin a back massage! I'm totally diggin' the minimal yet effective detailing on his chibi body, especially his facial features since chibis require no muzzles; very bright and expressive! Absolutely wonderful work on his anime-inspired hairdo/mane and showing off how fluffy and full it looks; same goes for the tufts of fur all over his body! Very aesthetically appealing; really fits the bright and cheerful chibi style along with the bright eyes and sweet smile! Speaking of his eyes and smile, lovely choice of expression; it really showcases how kind-hearted and helpful he is offering that gentle back rub for that griffin girl! Colouring all over the damn drawing is friggin' spectacular; the mostly warm colours and bright landscape really make me feel warm inside like it's still summer! Even Leo's colours look pretty damn accurate as are his markings on his face and right deltoid! Truly impressive effort with the lighting and shading around Leo while keeping in mind of him being under an umbrella; very accurate and well-detailed in balancing the right amounts of them on his body, especially considering where the light source is coming from!
If there's anything missing on Leo, it's that his arm bandages aren't gone. But that doesn't even bother me as that actually shows how relaxed and appealing he looks without them in a summertime beach picture!
I cannot thank you enough for such an outstanding job on this YCH, Draenei! I only feel sad that I can't fave the original empty YCH from before (mainly to remind myself of when it took place before)! lol Thank you very much! You are awesome, and you should feel awesome!
