So have a short story about a Primarina and her scuba tank~
Primarina Bubbles

Primarina Bubbles
Light streamed through a window in a seaside cliff, illuminating the pool of water that immersed most of the small, cozy home inside. The water was still, only faint ripples reflecting the setting sun, until foaming bubbles heralded a Primarina emerging from the underwater entrance, the splash throwing orange light all around the room as the sea lion smoothed her wet hair behind her.
The Primarina, Diana, pushed herself gently over to one of the shores of her home; the rock was polished smooth and more or less dry— perfect for when even a Water-type like her tired of sea and salt water. In a familiar motion, she brought her flippers up to tug herself into the hammock just above, then nestled herself in to watch the setting sun through her window.
It was still a little gloomy, so she summoned a number of bubbles, which she illuminated with her aura. They glowed brightly as they hovered in the air above her and gave much more vibrance to her humble seaside home. She summoned one more, using her aura to make it durable instead of luminescent, then hugged it close to her chest. She loved the feeling of it squishing and puffing out all around her body and flippers… it gave her the peace of mind to reflect on the events of her day.
And what an interesting day it had been! A Vaporeon and Umbreon couple had set up shop by the beach, renting something that was called… “scuba gear”, if she remembered. It came with a tank full of pressurized air with a hose connected to a mask that fit over your muzzle. They were advertising it as a way for more terrestrial Pokémon to stay underwater for much longer, since you could just breathe the air in the tank until that ran out. She thought it was silly, but she had a lot of fun swimming around everything from Arcanine to Zebstrika, and they had a lot of fun swimming around her!
Then again, there was one moment that made her hug her bubble a little tighter as she recalled it. A Floatzel had wanted to give it a test just for fun, but he had accidentally turned a dial on the tank when he went to start the flow of air— and his floatation vest puffed right out from the pressure! Disoriented, the poor Floatzel had stumbled in a circle…
…Whereupon Diana caught sight of his belly slowly swelling up with air.
She knew it wasn’t just him being forced to inhale really deeply— his lungs were filled to capacity from the start! Just how much pressure were those tanks under? Just like back then, butterflies seemed to fill her stomach as her heart pounded and she got shaky with… various feelings. As cute as a Floatzel could be, the rush of feelings in her was instead from seeing how his belly had gotten so bloated and how long it had taken him to finally exhale all the air. If her suspicions were correct, then…
...She caught her heart-shaped tail fin lashing back and forth in the hammock in anticipation. She got it to settle down before finishing her thought. If she was right, then…
Could she use one of those tanks to blow up into a bubble?
She glanced at the blue-tinted ball in her arms. It was her deepest and most embarrassing desire. Every time she summoned those bubbles unique to her species line, she couldn’t help but feel an intense longing to be so round and floaty and translucent and… well, fragile, like they were. And now she might finally have a way to become one… Or, at least, so full of air that she might as well be considered one. That was more than good enough for her. In some ways, really, it was much better!
Her idle thoughts aside, she was starting to feel a nigh-desperate urge to test her idea at the very least. Initially, her shyness about why she wanted a scuba tank, combined with the oddity of a sea-dwelling Pokémon like her even asking for one, kept her away from requesting one herself. But she knew the Pokémon running the service would probably close up for the day soon… if they haven’t already!
Diana bit her lip. Her flustered anxiety aside, if she was going to try blowing up tonight, then she had to go now. Swallowing her shyness, she pulled herself out of her hammock, then dove back into the water, then swam furiously back to her coastal town.
When she finally leapt out of the water and onto the dock where the scuba shop was, she wiped the water from her eyes just in time to see the Vaporeon pawing at a key in the front door.
“Wait!” she cried, making her way up to him. “Can I— I want a tank— I mean, I want to rent a tank—!”
“Huh?” The fellow Water-type went back down on all-fours as he turned to face her. Then his eyes flashed with recognition. “Oh, you’re— um, what’s the name— Diana!”
That took her aback. She’d never spoken to the shopkeepers; she’d merely watched from a ways off.
“How did you know my name?”
The Vaporeon was smiling brightly now, and he let out a little chuckle. “Because all our clients were talking about you! You spent so much time playing with the Pokémon that had rented out our gear, why, I think you doubled our business on day one! If you can believe it, we even got asked if we hired you to make the experience more fun.”
“Really?” She was just being her normal carefree self! “I’m… flattered! I think.”
Another laugh came from the Eeveelution. “The point is, my partner and I are very grateful for your help, whether you meant it or not. In fact— what was it you said, you wanted some scuba gear?”
Diana nodded emphatically. “Yes, sir! I brought my berry pouch— I’ll even pay extra since it’s so late and I’d really like to have it overnight!”
“Oh, relax, sweetheart! What I’m thinking is that for your help, I think there’s no problem in letting you rent out our equipment for yourself anytime, on the house!”
Diana gasped. Thoughts of what she could do with all those tanks filled her mind then spilled over onto her expression as a faint blush. “A-are you sure that’s alright?”
“More than sure! Here…” The Vaporeon got up on his hind paws again to unlock the door. “I’ll be right back with our biggest, most pressurized model, so you can have all the air you— are you okay, Miss?”
Diana had covered her face in her wide flippers to hide the brick-red blush that had consumed her normally pale face. Quickly, she made up an explanation. “S-sorry, sir, I’m just so honored you’re letting me borrow this all for free!”
“Naw, it’s really no big deal! You just being here is already just swell for business! Be right back, sweetheart!”
She waited until the door closed behind him to let out her flustered whimper. Why did he have to say “swell”?
Thankfully, the Vaporeon was back before long, rolling along an air tank that was bigger than he was! “Heeeere we are, Miss Diana! One scuba tank, all ready for an overnight rental! Or, really, whenever you get around to returning it. Our treat!”
Diana scooped up the tank in her flippers, looking over it with an expression of awe and excitement.
“Do you know how to operate it?” the Vaporeon asked.
“Hmm?” It took her a moment to snap out of her daze. “Oh, yes! Yes, sir, I watched you teach it several times today. I have it memorized!”
He chuckled in response. “Excellent! Now, is there anything else I can do for you?”
“Nope!” Diana was just itching to get back. “No, sir, everything’s all set with me! Thank you so much again. See you tomorrow!”
He raised a paw in farewell. “Goodbye, Diana!”
She waved back, then dove right into the waves, hurriedly swimming back to her seaside home. This was it. Her dream might finally come true!
It took agonizingly long for her to surface inside her home in the grotto, whereupon she flipped onto her back to more closely examine the tank in her arms. At the end of the hose was a special one-size-fits-all mask attached to a muzzle. She had watched several times as the Eeveelutions guided Pokémon through the process: first bite softly on the end of the hose, then strap the muzzle over one’s own to keep it firmly in place. It could be easily undone, of course— the muzzle was only there to ensure proper operation of the device.
It was simple enough for Diana to replicate the steps, though her flippers were definitely built more for swimming than handling finicky straps. Thankfully, the tank was slightly buoyant, so she could just set it beside her in the water while she fiddled with the mask. Even so, it was firmly in place in no time at all, and a quick test of the tank got air flowing rather comfortably into her lungs.
Her heartbeat quickened again as she located the pressure dial on her tank. The moment had finally come. Gently, she pushed the little dial in to unlock it, then rotated it as far as she dared. Finally, with a sense of excitement and a little trepidation, she opened the valve of the tank once again.
Immediately, air blasted into her maw and down her throat. Her lungs filled up in a heartbeast, but to her surprise, no more air seemed to even try to force itself in. Instead, a bloating sensation filled her belly, and wide-eyed, she watched as her normally flat stomach began to round out as if she had eaten far too many berries. The feeling of pressure grew and grew until Diana was about to turn off the tank for fear of hurting herself…
Only for the tightness to give way to a truly wonderful feeling of growth and, strangely, relaxation. More wonderful still was the sight before her: her belly had gone from looking rather full to, well, it looked as though she had swallowed a whole beach ball! It was as if her belly finally decided that it would just accept the air being forced into it— even now, she was blowing up with as much ease as a rubber balloon!
Curious, and more than a little, well, excited from it all, she reached a flipper forward to feel her round, air-filled stomach— even just the idea of it gave her butterflies! But she couldn’t but whimper into her mask as her flipper sank right into the soft, airy flesh— it was so stretchy! Considering how rubbery the sea lion was by default, it was impossible not to imagine herself as a living balloon.
Her confidence (and desire) growing, she turned the pressure dial higher. There was no immediate pain or pressure this time, but merely a slightly louder whooshing sound in her hollow gut to signify that she was growing much faster than before.
In almost no time at all, it seemed, her belly swelled to stretch out most of her torso as a white ball took up more and more of her view. She couldn’t help but relax, slipping into something of a pleasured daze as one flipper rubbed her growing tummy. What’s more, the light of the moon was being reflected with increasing clarity against her ballooned stomach— she was becoming glossy!
Diana blushed deeper than she thought possible as she leaned her head back into the water. She closed her eyes, overwhelmed by the wonderful feeling of growing, stretching, swelling… becoming round and shiny like her bubbles…!
But she just couldn’t keep her eyes off for long. Her gaze was insatiable; she watched the moon, the gentle ripples of the water, and the luminous bubbles overhead… all on the glossy, reflective surface of her own belly. Meanwhile, her flippers got right back to feeling and exploring that wondrously huge balloon that was her own body. This, however, made her pause for a moment. She was getting tight again.
She knew full well that another surge of growth wasn’t waiting behind this newly mounting pressure. But somehow, that too sent a new wave of bliss through herself. How many of her own bubbles had she watched pop out of existence? The wider the bubble, the bigger the boom, and years of battling her friends for fun made her all too aware of the excitement of the larger blasts.
And she was already much bigger than any bubble she’d ever blown.
There was no stopping now. With a shaky flipper, she quickly retrieved the tank, and quickly turned the pressure dial as far as it would go.
A surge of growth immediately followed. She was huge! In front of her was nothing but stretching tightening Primarina belly, now easily wider than the rest of her body and then some! What’s more, while the reflection of her light-bubbles were long out of view, the light-bubbles themselves were increasingly visible… through her ballooned belly. In fact, her home was slowly coming into view as her over-stretched stomach thinned to the point of translucency!
Even the slightest touch of her flippers against her belly made ominous creaking sounds now, and they could push less and less deeply with each passing moment. Relaxing one last time, she resigned herself to what was coming. Even if she wanted to stop, she knew that she couldn’t.
The very full sea lion closed her eyes as more and more air forced its way into her belly, which groaned long and low in protest. Her flippers came down to rest in the water out of fear that even the slightest touch would push her past her limit, and every tickle of water against her extremely sensitive hide made her body shiver and her tail lash…!
Then, with a boom that echoed far into the distance, the Primarina bubble burst.
***
When Diana awoke, she found herself floating in the water in her home as sunlight streamed through her window. What a strange but wonderful dream! If only it had been…
Something hard bumped into her side. Glancing over, she found a scuba tank bobbing in the gentle waves. Could it really…?
She wasted no time in strapping the mask back on and turning the air on, then tentatively raising the pressure and hoping against hope…
Diana wouldn’t be able to leave her home that day from the buoyancy of her own ballooned belly, but that was more than good enough for her. And in some ways, much, much better.
