I once failed to understand the Founding Fathers of the United States of America’s decision to designate Haliaeetus leucocephalus, otherwise known as the “bald eagle”, as the national bird of the United States of America. However, upon viewing a specimen of the species, the reason for this choice becomes rather obvious, with that reason being the respectable and somewhat intimidating appearance of the magnificent bird.
This specific subject was, as the bars in the background of the image imply, an eagle who appeared to be reasonably content to be, for the purpose of publicly displaying him, contained in an enclosure. I, however, refuse to believe that this contained eagle is any less visually attractive than are the untamed bald eagles. My having achieved the creation of a photograph which captures the face of this eagle as he sounded an alarm call greatly pleases me, because I find photographs which are similar to “20181123122046” to be very appealing, likely as a result of their providing to the viewer a photograph of something which often cannot be appreciated, which, in this case, is the interior of the mouth of Haliaeetus leucocephalus. The presence of the strand of saliva which resided in the large eagle’s mouth simply increases the degree to which I admire my creation.
The creation of this photograph, like all of my photographs, would not be possible if the subject were not at least somewhat cooperative with me while being photographed.
As always, constructive criticism pertaining to this photograph, my writing, or any of my other photographs would be joyfully received by me, because I rather strongly wish to improve the quality of my photography. The sugar-coating of criticism directed at my creations, or even me as a person, is unnecessary, and it often simply causes the man who criticised my work to appear to have been uncertain about the legitimacy of the criticism which he gave to me. Although I attempt to extract everything which is beneficial for me from every situation in which I am involved, the lack of confidence which is displayed by those who vigorously attempt to remove any offensiveness from their criticisms leads to my suspicion of the lack of advice which would affect my creations positively. Please verbosely explain to me any flaws which are present in this photograph and were directly caused by me, e.g., clipping highlights or shadows, if they are noticed.
