This is the High Grade 1/144 Sinanju Stein (Narrative Ver.). :) This kit came out earlier this month, and retails in Japan for ¥2600 (about $26 USD). The Sinanju Stein was first developed in U.C. 0094 as a way to test the durability and follow-up capabilities of the Psycho Frame. It’s exact origin is a mystery, but it was embellished with engravings that became the root for the name of The Sleeves, and it uses the fury of it’s pilot as a source of energy. That’s pretty much a short summary of the information on the box, which is all that I know about this particular mobile suit.
The Kit itself is really interesting, and it really lets you see how much the mobile suit was modified when it was turned into the Sinanju. This kit utilizes some similar pieces to the High Grade 1/144 Sinanju, and even comes with some of the same pieces. The number of stickers to apply to significantly fewer than the Sinanju, and the stickers are all pretty easy to apply. There are parts on this kit that need a little bit of paint, and then there are some parts that you could use paint in place of the included sticker decals if you want. The articulation is okay for a newer High Grade kit, but I’m not crazy about the backpack. Overall, this is a really cool kit, and if you’re considering buying it, I highly recommend it. :)
