Pretty use of colors you have there :) I find snakes to be very pretty.
As for the lower mouths, think of them like cups, or bows. Notice how it has a "lip" or edge, just like our mouths, apply an "edge" with some thickness, then add depth. Add a tongue/teeth/flesh, and voila, mouf.
He looks like he has a nasty bite to him :O Please dont bite me lil snake.
