Ach, I've been uploading so much lately, on two accounts, so I don't expect anyone to be able to keep up with anything. But this is an old image I made waaay back, a I was planning and figuring the series out. I figure we've reached the appropriate time in the comic to show it.
It' not really impressive, but these are my favorites from The Quick And The Angry. I have other stuff to do first, but I can't wait to get back to working on the final two missions of the story. (: good times!

well, the song is actually pretty macabre. 'Jack fell down and broke his crown' means he cracked open his skull.
I can imagine the guy who made the song up- he watched these two kids run up a hill, one trips; rolls down the hill and cracks open his skull on the ground, sending blood and gore everywhere...then the little gurl decides to commit suicide and they ommited HER crown breaking and just mentioned she 'rolled after him'.

Ahh, that one is from the Dark Ages....the whole plague thing. "Ring around the rosie" was the red rings that formed aroung the whelts on your skin. "Pocket full of posies" because the fragrance of posies was thought to ward off the plague because it warded off the smell of dead flesh. "Ashes, Ashes" Because burning was the only way to handle a plagued corpse. And "We all fall down"....is pretty self explanitory
lol, theres Humpty Dumpty. He ended up as a smashed smear at the base of that wall. you can imagine all the yolk and egg white gore everywhere, theres a shell with his eye over there, and the shell with his mouth on the other end of the wall. =P
Then theres Hanzel and Grettle- my favorite. Two children who were led by their parents into the woods and left there to die cuz their family didnt have enough food. They use their only source of food to help find their way home, only to lose it all. Starving, they stumble across a witch who cages them, torments them, abuses and mistreats them. The sister is forced to clean the house and do all the chores while being beaten and not fed. And the boy is locked in a cage and forced to eat and eat til he cant eat no more. All so the witch can eat him.
They hatch a plan together and murder the damn witch...and, i guess, live happily ever after in a house made of candy in which they killed the owner of.

This is quite the interesting piece. Kind of like something you'd expect to see as a poster for the series, or perhaps a transitionary image to show how the story has taken another step forward toward reaching its climatic end.
I really like the Foxie / Fuxie split. The difference between the two is truly like night-and-day yet, despite this fact, their destinies are inter-twined. The chain for Faux, Cooni, and Nishi seems to also hint toward more to come regarding what was discussed at the end of this most recent mission, too.
As for Oxnard, I am left with questions now as to how he'll come into play again. He's there looking the way he is for a reason. What that is, exactly, is a grand mystery indeed. Oopa!

Hehe, I think it's kinda fitting you mentioned this showing how it's taken another step, or it's sort of a transitionary piece. The first picture I did with the Q&A before I started the comic (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2521247/ this old one) had Fuxie in a similar pose, kinda to what I had here. Nishi hasn't changed much either, but now that the trio has run into other people that have started changing thing for them, I guess it does show that the story's beginning to evolve!
Actually, after posting this and hearing someone else's comment about Oxnard, it's made me decide to try and change one other thing about the comic. 8D Things are always changing until the very end, I guess! Bwuhaha

There has most definately been a noticeable amount of plot and character development as the series has evolved. Kind of like how shows like Cowby Bebop and [/b][/i]Ghost in the Shell[/b][/i], you managed to take a couple of characters who are out doing there thing and, by chance, got them involved in matters far deeper than they themselves could've ever imagined becomming a part of.
Works like this are a testiment to how life, despite how boring and routine it may seem at times, does have moments where a simple decision, or encounter, can truly impact the lives of one, or more, people.
For example, if Don Badge hadn't been hunted by the babyfurs, he would've never been driven to get revenge against the Q&A. His quest for revenge thus caused him to meet with Anger Mouse. The fusion of the two brought a shared loathing to a boil and hatched a plan that endangered the lives of the Q&A and left a mental mark on Nishi.
The point of it all being you just never know what will come back to help, or hinder, you in the future. All you can do is be your best and work to handle life's trials and tribulations as they come with courage and determination. :)

Uh oh... how about we push aro down hill first, and then we all go down hill after the hill monster isn't hungry anymore?
