Title swiped from Luthien, the first in a series of images relating to my sub project Rising Tide, which Diana encounters her first mermaid in a project of indeterminate length at this point, we'll just see how far the story goes.
Diana encounters Harumi (not in mermaid form) unconscious on the beach, and slips on her ring in an effort to learn more about who she is and where she came from. Unexpectedly, the magic within the ring transforms her into a mermaid and she must soon explain her situation to the rather amused mermaid who awakens shortly thereafter.

Oh, Diana. I'd have thought that you, of all people, would know about magical jewelry and be more cautious than to just try on any random rings you happen to find lying around the place. At least its effects are pretty benign, even if I imagine that getting used to a fish tail instead of legs would take a bit of work. Though, once she's stopped giggling, maybe Harumi could give her a pointer or two. Meanwhile, she does look pretty cute like that, and Harumi is just adorable!

Well, in fairness she felt something when it reacted to her necklace, so it's not entirely the usual TF shenanigans.
No doubt Diana will have to learn fast as she usually does, but I'm sure she's up to the challenge. Harumi looks too cute here giggling at Diana's situation. :)
