"Don't!" Seraphina shouted, alarmed by the great bat's approach.

"I will not touch you." Zotz assured her. "What are you looking at?"

Seraphina's eyes strayed back to the window, and the dark beyond. "The sea..."

"Ah, yes, the sea is always good. There is nothing that I can look at for very long..." The great bat himself then looked out into the dark, the shifting shadowy waves. "Except the sea." He then turned to the little bat, looking deep into her bright blue eyes. Yet to his surprise he could not see his own reflection in the azure depths, instead he was met by the sight of twinkling stars. "What is the matter with your eyes? Why can I not see myself in your eyes?!"

Serphina flinched, her ears folding back in fear.

"Who is she?!" Zotz shouted, turning around to face the rest of the chamber. "I want to know who she is!"

"My Lord, what difference does it make?" Aktun spoke up. "She's here."

Zotz glared at the other vampyrum, but surprisingly enough did calm down. "For once you are right, she is here." He then looked back at Seraphina, and a wicked, knowing grin spread across his face. "They are all here."

Entry for a contest from a few months back, we were supposed to draw the characters from the Silverwing fanfiction "Gone Batty" acting out a scene from a non-Disney movie. I decided to go for the throne room scene from The Last Unicorn, tho I did change a bit of the text to make it more fitting.
I got third place btw.
