Ahhh!! so excited to be uploading this piece :D this was a ych from a while back that
Hollow-Heart had purchased for their handsome naga, Seth! thank you so much again <3
Hollow-Heart has provided some backstory about Seth so please take a peek below!
Those who might have known Joel, both before and after he was on the path to knighthood, may not have been aware of the secret he wore around his neck. Likely it was that they were completely unaware of the transformation that would sometimes take place. A secret that was not especially well kept, but was also not one that he particularly bragged out, that was manifest in the design of a were-naga. The large, semi-humanoid snake creature would not entirely consider himself and Joel as one and the same. For Seth felt the world differently, saw it differently. And experienced the world with strength and senses that even the post-knight routed human could only dream of in his freedom. Once a shaman and now bound eternally by some fate to this human, he had a chance to live anew and explore this world. Yet, they had not particularly found the trigger for this transformation, only knowing that it was linked to the talisman where he unfortunately had been residing.
Seth found the more natural world to be where he cut his teeth, even if from time to time he had to awaken to fight himself in a tight spot caused by his alter. But the were-naga had tried in vain to leave some sort of assistance for his alter to discover any sort of magical inclinations of his own, only capable of using them while riding a silent shot-gun as the naga moved about and vice versa when he found himself conscious enough to watch the human and his interactions. Unlike his counter, Seth finds himself more balanced and careful, though some of this is due in part to not spending as much intentional time around other humanoids, it also offers him less chance for fighting, and misfortunes that he most often has to remedy. Seeing no point in bringing on twice the fights, or worse, hunters.
Seth is the balance and the grounding to the world where Joel is the hero. He is the calm and rational to the opposition of boisterousness, taking things with a much more humble approach. But humility and rationale do not belie lack of intelligence, tact or skill. For the were-naga is not one to be strode upon, and will not accept being pushed too far. For much like his alter ego, whether or not the other would be the victor, he pushes back when pushed too far. And more than likely, will not be the one limping away. A caring soul as he may be, he will take charge of any situation that calls for it, especially if that means putting the men in their place that would seek to try and force him into 'his'.
Personality
Seth finds himself more grounded in the natural, making him a seemingly unusually kind and caring creature. Despite the nature that one would expect of any sort of “were” (let alone that of a snake) being much more aggressive and hostile, the naga finds himself more or less avoiding whatever sorts of mischief his human counter can conjure up for him.
Effectually, Seth has a more relaxed and less chaotic and clumsy approach to those he does interact with. Often coming off as rather charming, in such a way that many that take the chance tend to see passed any sort of initial shock, fear or surprise at his appearance. The shaman tends to almost exude a calming and 'cool' sort of aura that cannot help but to draw others in.
Though one would be foolish to assume that this means the naga is not going to find himself control if the situation calls for it. Naturally a more dominant type -without being overbearing- lends itself to his not lying down when the going gets tough. Maintaining a sensible balance in every situation to keep the tides calm unless they need to rage would be the first and foremost approach in opposition to a tactless, whole-hearted leap into a brawl.
