This is an older ref sheet, so it doesnt mention it, but Sparky-cat is a Hei-Hei. Hei-Heis are demons from chinese mythology. They are normally depicted as small cats or foxes with wings. They are not the kind of "steal your soul haha take that God!" demons; they are shapeshifters and they are tricksters but are most known for causing droughts. I am an adorable little blighter, spreading my blight wherever I go! XD Anyways, if you can find more information on the little known Hei-hei, I'd love to know. Because I have only found them mentioned briefly in one book. They dont even have an entry in my big book o' mythology creatures. o_o So... I guess that would make me an obsecure little blighter.
