of my terrible cat face.

Meet Arnold the cat. he came together yesterday in about three hours. his skull structure had been done on a previous occasion.

anyhow, Arnold came to life quite quickly so that he could sing Stray Cat Strut in front of 70, 80, or maybe 100 college students last night, competing in 'Pitt Idol'. the judges made some remarks about making sure your cat was spayed, and Arnold came in 6th place (out of 13 :/).

it was actually a lot of fun (surprisingly) and if the plaster bones hadn't been resting on my nose making it uncomfortable and a little hard to breath, i think this would have been much better. that and if i'd taken some time to make a formfitting head instead of just hot-gluing a bunch of felt around my head haphazardly.

for the show he was all in dress-clothes so he looked classier, also my arms were painted black and white, and he has a tail with a string strung through a sleeve so that when the lines 'strut right by with my tail in the air' were sung, it was appropriately high.

also gonna be my Halloween. costume, maybe i'll fix it up a bit more though, definitely add padding to that inner nose. widen the mask's nose (to make it more catlike) etc.
