"Another crappy day to live, one less till death..." Kyte muttered to himself as he stood motionless in the shower, hot water flowing over him. He tried to remember what brought him back down to Earth, after all only the previous had he been happy for the first time in years. Reluctantly he turned off the comfortable flow of water and finished up in the bathroom.
There wasn't any time for breakfast, so Kyte just grabbed an apple as he trotted quickly out the front door. He was already ten minutes late pulling out of his driveway, and it didn't help after turning into his friends' whom he was supposed to pick up. Finally after five minutes, Kyte's friend emerged from his house, apologizing for his tardiness.
"It's ok, I was late too." Kyte reassured him. The rest of the ride to school was silent. And the entire ride would've been uneventful if it weren't for the horrible traffic. Construction on the highway caused detours on the only road that led to the high school. It didn't improve anybody's mood as Kyte started to pull into the intersection that led up to the school's parking lot and another car decided red lights don't apply to it. After much honking, yelling profanities into the air, and re-composure Kyte proceeded to park his car.
13 minutes late to school, Kyte's friend ran on ahead to the building. Normally Kyte would've preferred to have been punctual, but he could already tell today was going to be a pretty bad day.
I've felt so little inspiration to draw recently. I blame the fact I'm so restricted to what I do so repetitively everyday. I was going to color this in, but I've had a really crappy day and not really feeling up to it anymore so maybe later. I'm not sure if there's more to be expected, but it's definitely good practice so I'll try to think of more to draw than just this.

With his open hand, Kyte reached into his back pocket and flipped through a small script. "Get up...go to school..." he mumbled to himself as he read. Finally he looked up and said, "there's, uh, nothing about...you...showing......up..." Kyte slowly stopped talking, realizing he didn't care what the script said. He tossed the small book over his shoulder and walked into the large high school, happily holding hands with the roo.
Upon entering the main doors, and taking the pointless-but-necessary detour through the office, the two found the cafeteria completely empty. This was due to the fact they were quite late. "Well, since we're already late, I say we skip first period hang out in the halls." suggested Kyte smiling sheepishly, hoping to get approval from his newly found friend.

Kyte blushed a little and replied, "oh, yeah...uh, well this is the cafeteria. Aaaand..." Kyte paused for a second pointing down a hallway to the right, "that is the commons." Along the hallway was the office they had just come out of. In the commons a few students were sitting around in a study hall, with lockers in the background. "Really, there's nothing to do in this place," Kyte groaned. "I say we play hooky in the auditorium, nobody is ever in there."
