Caroline Persia has been in the "power" of Maximillian Manx for over a year now. In that time she has undergone, in his presence, a change. Gone is her shame and humiliation (or, at least, most of it) of his use of her to be replaced with a more confident, situationally and sexually, woman. Max is beginning to think he's got a lot more than he figured when she first submitted to him.
From time to time, Caroline goes to one of Maximillian's estates (she's been on his yacht a couple of times and traveled with him to Mardi Gras once and Carnival as well). Those of her Order believe she is giving spiritual advice (guidance?) to him. One wonders what they would think if they knew what was really going on?
