This has taken the longest of anything I have ever painted. (approx-60 hours) I wanted to try adding a few new ideas into my backgrounds, I am not very good with buildings/machinery and such-so I was determined to do something machine-ish. =P (and add rusty metal to my 'I hate painting it' list!)

This is an actual setting from 'Winterdream', my novel-in-progress. (And I cringe at saying I am writing a novel....doesnt everyone say that??)

Annnyway, this was an old abandoned mine/quarry that flooded, Glaze & Stormshade go swimming there.

Since my friend pointed out that Effra hasn't been in one of my pictures in a while I made sure that she got to be in here. (Effra is the dog)
