Colour pencil on white, approximately 16"x22". I had this idea floating around in my head for a long time, and finally worked it out on paper. Dragons need to find fuel for their firebreathing somehow.

Somewhere in my teen years I'd read that in most mythologies, dragons swallow vegetation and allow it to ferment in an extra stomach pouch. The fermentation process fills that stomach with flammable methane gas. When they wish to belch fire, they just release some of the methane from their second stomachs, click their teeth together to create a spark, and a jet of flame shoots out.
Fun, imagining that they would swell with that excess gas. This image was an offshoot of some of those mythologies, but I gave it the twist that satisfies my belly inflation fantasies more. Filling up with a tube or hose can be exciting.

I think that most dragons can handle a gasoline explosion. They have thick hides, and are pretty immune to fire. The rest of us have to watch out.
I considered drawing some humans fleeing from the scene, but couldn't work them into the composition without making it look... busy. As it was, things got a little tight. I need more practice in drawing architecture in perspective, so I can get measurements right and plan out details like that better.
