Kedamono's legs did change, much similar to his hero/mentor/father figure Gaur as in the flashback it said his legs were not meant for that kind of power kicking.
I am guessing Nickles is going to get a serious face full of feet or Kedamono is going to get his feet full of face.
I am going to guess by the looks of things the kick I am predicting will hurt.

1. Keda rights himself for the purpose of setting up the next panel.
2. Keda's feet/legs become altered.
3. Keda continues falling, but spots a convenient tree branch.
4. Keda grabs said tree branch.
5. Keda rebounds thanks to science.
6. Keda rights himself for the purpose of the next page.
7. Nickles gleefully watches what was Keda's descent from atop the waterfall.
8. Nickles realizes something has gone terribly wrong a little late.
