all that is left of a big drag line tons of steel left to rest. the operators seat and controls still stand and some of the base long after most of it has been hauled away for scrap

i though it was cool. what was left of big drag line with a smaller one in the background still working. sometimes old drag lines get left behind from open pit mines. this photo really spoke to me for some reason. i loved how the old operator chair and controls still stood even though the rest is more or less gone
It all in a mine history location near stumptown ohio. they got equipment running there but this is the remaines of a drag line the rotater platform if still there beside it i think it may been a walking drag line. there is also the cab from the silver spade there the cab alone was bigger then my first apartment. lol maybe i will post that pic as well.
