Kirinia and Bravius were the Warrior Beast duo that saw action on Episode 17 of the Great Mazinger Anime.

Kirinia was part of the Intelligence Army Warrior Beast core and resemble the mythical Qilin, with the long neck, head and tail of the Chinese dragon, but the bottom part resembled a Horse. The back was at blaze and was capable of separating into two components – a winged fire Serpent and the other just the bottom horse with legs. The Horse part of the body had a compartment capable to hold prisoners, other abilities include breathing fire and create tornadoes. Its real face was located on the Forehead.

Bravius was a Superhuman Warrior Beast part of the main Military Core (Beasts that directly responded to High Command, be the Great General of Darkness or the Great Marshall of Hell). It was Dark gray colors and light green padding on its arms and legs, and had tentacles running from it's lower body and folded all the way to the back. It had a dark green face, an armored crown, with two horns on the side. Bravius could fly thanks to rockers located on its back, and burrow underground thanks to its small swords nail to the wrist, which could become saws when spinning at great speed, and the tentacles served as whips. Its true face was located on the chest and resemble a sun, which was capable to emit a powerful beam of blinding light.

Both Beasts were called forth by Prime Minister Argos and The Great General of Darkness, after the two were put to order by the Emperor following a heated fight between the two. Impress, both rivals decided to team up to destroy Great Mazinger for good. As the Science Fortress prepares for the new years, Haruna (Shiro classmate and crush) is kidnapped by Kirinia in the middle of the night shortly before Shiro and the Borot arrive with a Borot theme kite. Kirinia appears and attacks and in the scuffle, Shiro finds Haruna's doll and runs back to the lab. The Science Fortress becomes aware of the Beast and Jun departs on Venus A to assist Borot, Gorgon stays on stand by to wait for the deployment of the Great Mazinger.

By the time Venus arrives, Kirinia sets the Borot at blaze and pounces it into the lake, Venus makes a stand against it, but her rockets prove ineffective to Kirinia's fire and the beast tails whip her into the lake as well. At the lab Haruna's mother arrives and searching for her, but Shiro explains the situation and it prompts Tetsuya to depart on the Great Mazinger and fights Kirinia, the Great General sees this and launches Bravius into Combat. Gorgon shows up demanding Tetsuya to surrender if they want to see the Haruna again, informing him the little girl is been held inside the Monster. Great is shoot into a canyon but takes off before it could crash, he informs Borot and Venus of the situation and bashes the horse part into the ground, where Borot and Venus grabbed it by the legs and ripped it apart, releasing the holding block, but with no Haruna in it – realizing the trick, Great dispatches Kirinia by cutting its wings off with the Great Boomerang and the destroying it with Great Burner.

Tetsuya turns his anger against Gorgon, who foresaw this event and hide the Girl previously, Tetsuya tries to kill him with Thunder Break, Gorgon avoids it, but from the crater, Bravius fires his Blinding Beam onto Tetsuya, who is disorienting by the immense glow. Great crashes onto a snowy mountain side, causing and be buried by an avalanche. Great emerges, but Tetsuya discovers that the beam left blind, the beast takes the chance and attacks, taking advantage of the situation, as Venus and Borot are dispatch to search for Haruna, who is found inside a fake hollow tree. Tetsuya uses his instincts to perceive the sounds of the movement of his enemy, fire a Rocket Punch that startles Bravius, and then fires a Pectoral Missile, finding its mark on his real face, destroying the Beast. Both the Great General and Minister Argos vow revenge, as Haruna is reunited with her mother.
