Hey all!
Might have been a little over-ambitious when I first stated all this world-building. Had all these ideas, just wasn't great and translating them into shareable media. But you stick with it, right? I'm learning digital now but I think I'll always draw the maps by hand. Here's a sample, one of three finished areas. The original never made it past WIP, but this one's got all its locations written up, with plot-hooks and encounters for each. Like the original, each of those locations is linked to a write-up or artwork or both.
I've left stats out for now to focus on story and completion.

One thing that's led to my own cartography success is learning to hybridize digital and analog work. There's just something tactile and gratifying about letting your hand wander across the page, jittering and skipping to make all manner of fiddly bits and fjords.
That said, it's nice to be able to come back with an airbrush tool to soften, shape, and blend the terrain into a cohesive form. And it certainly does speed up the process to get the piece completed.
Your prismacolor talents are certainly astounding, to say the least. I'd hope that the ordeal and effort which goes into hand-coloring each of your maps is satisfying, then. Because the effect is still marvelous, but I imagine it must take a while to get there.

The new map looks so very nice, I'm so happy to see you working on this and updating it! Though, I have one regret: that we lost the massive Blast Void. I've always felt that it gave a sense of awe and fright at the scale of the destruction wrought by Nigh when he unleashed his main weapon.
