Not a word was said, there wasn't any need for it. After all they'd been doing this for 14 years (minus those brief periods where it'd looked like toilet training was going to work for Petie). They knew this song and dance by heart at this point. Gently hefting her baby boy up she rested Petie on her shoulder and easily tugged the back of his diaper away till his elastic hole pulled off her little honey pots precious puffball tail. Further tugging the back of the diaper away she checked the damage… and one peek confirmed what experience had already told her. That her baby boy had an appointment with the changing table.
Something Petie obvious knew as well as she could hear him sniffle a little in shame. Softly patting his side as he rested on her shoulder and making a gently, soothing shushing motion put a stop to any tears though. Same as it had back when he'd been little… littler~ Some things never change it seems… a little personal joke that had momma chuckling softly as she carried her sniffling baby boy to the bathroom and the waiting changing table there.
