The idea is in this alternate universe, because animals are more likely to live in more rural areas, this is where a lot of the franchises have ended up popping up. Its only more recently that some of the franchises are popping up in bigger cities such as New York and Las Vegas. In this universe theres franchises in Sturgis, Talahassee, Winnipeg, Biloxi, Plymouth, Bangor, Albany, San Jose and even Honolulu to name a few!
