Chaotic Neutral, Halfling Sorcerer (Wild Magic)
Everette has always been consumed by wanderlust and left home as soon as his parents allowed it. In truth his community wasn’t very sorry to see him go, as the emergence of his raw magic powers were a disruption to their normally orderly lives.
Since leaving home he hasn’t stayed in any one place long enough to have a history there. But he is long remembered for the entertainment he provides. He likes to tell story’s enhanced by effects conjured by his magic.
He seems uncannily lucky – even for a Halfling. He eagerly injects himself into the unknown, and has little patience for slowpokes and those who prove indecisive. His curiosity and impetuous nature has gotten him into trouble countless times, but his wits and luck have always pulled him through.
His wanderings lead him to meet Maxim Tupodor, a collector of magical oddities. Maxim and Everette became friends over to their shared interest in wild magic. It was Maxim who sold Everette his distinctive wand.
Everette has no illusions about his control of magic. He knows that even though it usually agrees with his wishes, magic will do as it wills. His motto is “Some use a wand to wield magic, but I am the wand and magic wields me”.
Twists of Fate (Legendary Wand):
This wand was created in an ill-fated experiment to merge the functions of a Wand of the War Mage and several other spell wands. This attempt failed spectacularly, momentarily tearing The Weave, engulfing the wand in raw magic, and resulting in the disappearance of its creator.
If the wands wielder can unlock its potential they become Fate’s Chosen, and gain some control their destiny. Each of the following abilities are usable once per day:
- Controlled Chaos: The wands wielder can choose the result of a Wild Magic Surge (no roll)
- Alter Fate: The wands wielder can choose to turn any one roll from a success to a failure or a failure to a success.
- Fates Fortune: The wands wielder is affected by a Foresight spell
