In a time before the written word, Atlantis, Muriana (Mu) and R'lyeh were engaged in a world spanning conflict that shaped the world. Canions, vallies, mountains and ocians took form throughout their destructive war.They all sank in the process. Atlantis sent their last surviving denizen to the surface as both a last ditch effort to save at least one of their own and a punishment. Mu stayed dead, it's people all drowned, except it's largest and most dangerous war-beast. The first and last of it's kind, the Giaiga, preserved in stasis. And finally, the city of R'lyeh, where the winged priest, the great Old One C'thulu and his dreadid, abominable spawn sleep, influencing the weakminded of the surface around the world.
