So, as with Dragon Quest, I wanted an OC for Secret of Mana that wasn't a dragon.

This mershark was the result of that desire.

• Biography: Golgotha is one of the many ½ mermaids born to Junichiro and Palutena and is one of the unique types of the family. In her case, she is a Mershark as opposed to being born a dolphin mermaid, or orca mermaid. She was born a week after Elpida was conceived and before Palutena gave birth to the gunman Adelicia. This makes her one of the 2nd ½ mermaids. As she often enjoys a good adventure, she was often one of the 1st to accompany her father whenever he explored the lands of Olympia, but always remained at home when traversing the multiverse. While assisting her father with an excavation of some old ruins on the Draconic Mountains, Golgotha came across an ancient divine dragon statue that had been left behind when the dragons secluded themselves (Albeit not completely). Upon reading the dais on the statue however, Golgotha experienced a deep surge of pain and was in constant agony, holding her right arm due to the immense pain she was experiencing at this very moment. Juni, in response, called the excavation off for now and took his screaming daughter to the hospital. There, it was revealed that despite the pain, there were no negative side effects to her health and well-being (Much to his great relief), and that she had formed a pact with the divine dragon that is now deceased, granting her great powers beyond what being a ½ mermaid would provide. Seeing this as a token of good fortune, Juni suggested she should come with him whenever he is called for the World of Mana. Without so much as a hint of hesitation, Golgotha agreed to this happily and, with help from her father, learned how to make use of the divine dragon power she has now inherited, and mastered it successfully by the time it was time to see the world of Mana. Golgotha is usually a friendly and caring girl, but, due to being a mershark, she has a good sense of smell and the moment the scent of blood hits her nostrils, she enters a state of bloodlust that is comparable to being afflicted with the Berserker Status. During this time, Juni often puts up a huge amount of restraint until her blood frenzy dies out. Fortunately, she is easily sated with fish as that’s one of her favorite things to eat. As she sees herself as being the apex predator, she has no love for the biting lizards, no matter how cute many say they may look. Experiences the worst frenzies for bloodshed.
• Abilities: As her ½ mermaid genes would have it, Golgotha is able to take on her mermaid form whenever she’s in the water. This includes swimming pools. In the water, she is a very fast swimmer as her shark-like lower half does not drag in the water, resulting in fast swimming times. In addition, her shark like teeth are always well-sharpened. This is because, like all sharks, when she loses one of her shark teeth, a new one is grown in to take its place a day after the old one has fallen, and these lost shark teeth are often taken by her father to make arrows with. Combat wise, Golgotha is well adept at fighting with swords, spears, and axes, tending to be the best with these among the other weapons available to use. She is also an adept sorcerer, being able to make use of both powers of the mana spirits, but she seems to shine 1,000x better with the spirit Undine due to both having connections with the water. As part of her pact with the divine dragons, she can form her arm into the head of a dragon and use it for many offensive attacks that she will often combine with others whenever using a weapon or such. These attacks she can use include a cold mist breath, and a ferocious dragon bite. However, the pact has not yet enabled Golgotha to fly. Which is fine with the ½ mershark as she “prefers the water over air”.
