This is probably the last photo I am going to post on my Halloween costume unless someone wants to see more.

Well, this is a closer view of the lens I made for the plague doctor mask. I took some scrap material at work and modified it to achieve the look I wanted. The plastic lens was part of a gauge assembly. I initially had holes along the outside for mounting but shaved it off to get the outer diameter down to fit the beak style masquerade mask I used as a base. It took some doing on a router table that kept wanting to throw the lens from my paw but I got it size down close enough that I could used the belt sander to smooth it out somewhat.

Good ol' hot-glue and the lens not attached to the mask. It was still a bit too big so I wrapped some of the paper shop towel over it and cut out a circle offset form the center, right over the eye opening on the mask base. I then hot-glue the metal rings, producing the effect I wanted.

Again, the rings was scrap from the workplace. I had to sand it down to get rid of the markings on it. Then more of that flat black spray paint to finish it. That was pretty much it.
