The dragon looked down to the ground, seeing a brown figure that was dressed in blue clothing. Upon recognizing the figure, the dragon roared with delight, dropping to all fours and reaching its snout out in an attempt to touch the figure’s snout with its own. It was a friend! It was the dragon’s friend and it came to visit!
“Hello again.” The figure said. It was, indeed, the dragon’s friend. “Do you remember me, big guy?” It asked, lifting up its mask and giving the dragon a kiss on the snout.
The dragon’s throat rumbled happily at the friend’s greeting. It was happy! Its friend was here! It was here, and it would see all the gold and not take it! It never took the gold!
“My name is Tudor.” The figure lifted its arms and embraced the dragon’s snout.
The dragon snorted happily and it closed its eyes.
“I see you’ve got something in your paw?” The figure gestured to the dragon’s hand. The dragon had been holding the object there for a good several minutes already…. It wasn’t quite done, but the friend wouldn’t mind seeing it! It loved seeing what the dragon created!
Opening up its hand, the dragon lifted it to the figure and growled in acknowledgement. It was proud of its creation. It pressed the thing so hard together until it was small enough for even his friend to wear… but his friend wouldn’t wear it. He never would.
“Oh goodness!” The minotaur gasped. “It’s so beautiful!”
The dragon lifted its hand up more so it could examine its work. It smiled, seeing the rounded ball of gold in its hand. Attached to it was a small wolf-like head, a set of tiny hands, and a pair of feet. It looked like another tiny figure it had seen before… seen somewhere before… somewhere it saw… a…. Wolf!
The dragon’s eyes widened as it saw a small tail sticking out of the ball. Attached to it was a golden chain… it was like a necklace now, but who would want a necklace of a wolf with such a scared expression on its face?
The dragon grumbled as it tossed the creation over its shoulder, letting it land on the heap of gold behind it.
“Did you not like it, big guy?” The friend asked.
The dragon, got back on all fours and stared down at its friend…. A small glimpse of something caught its eye. It was not the warm color of the gold the dragon was used to… but a silver color. Upon closer inspection, it noticed that a mass of steel was on the ground. It looked like the torso of the dragon’s friend, but with a large, rounded center.
This wasn’t a treasure the dragon was hoarding. It didn’t have the feel…. So what was it? The dragon had to find out, so it sniffed the object…. Nothing new, just the smell of… wolf.
