Here is the bottom of the plague doctor mask I made for my Halloween costume. Not much to see here. I just folded over the loose flaps of the blue paper shop towel and hot glued them to the stiff paper that I affixed to the beak earlier. I couple more coats of that flat black spray paint finished it off.
It was unlikely anyone would see the bottom part when I wore the thing, but I wanted it be at least somewhat painted black just in case. I missed a spot or two but it was good enough for my purpose.
Yeah yeah, the tip of the beak is crooked. I didn't notice that until the hot-glue was set. I tried to bend it back and got most of it back in line. I could have done more but I left it in place as one of those "it adds character" type thing.
I did wish I made the jaw part to make the beak thicker. But time was running short as it is so I went with what I got. Still, would have been cool to have it touch my jaw and move when I talked. Then again, I didn't talked much as I passed out candy while I made my rounds in the workplace, being in character most of the time.
