This is my first attempt at making a digital painting (well, it's not a "true" painting since I still used a sketch underneath), and I have to say I'm pretty glad with the result! There are some things that could use some improvement, but overall it came out better than expected.
Anyways, after pondering on what to draw for quite some time, I decided to porray Enorach in front of a campfire, lost in his thoughts. Lars is probably sleeping right next to him, and soon will take his place on "guard duty".

Very sombre tone that you got going here with the pose and the expression that sets the mood but it is not, 'in your face', like some people tend to do.
Love the sword but I have a question about the handle design; are the dots supposed to be for the grip or are they rivets and the sword is made more like a knife? The reason I ask is I thought that maybe his species was not allowed to own swords were he was so it would be a way to get around that by using how the law is set up; the handle construction with the rivets can make it legally classified as a knife.

Yeah, it's made kinda like a knife. No particular reason for it, though, I did it simply because I liked the design.
The law also stated the blade had to have just one edge too to be considered a knife, if I'm not mistaken, which is why kriegsmessers are the way they are. This sword is double edged.

Pretty sure that it is only the handle construction that really matters because messers routinely have two edges in terms of the long edge and the short edge which is what we call a, 'false edge', now a days. Pretty sure that is were the terms, 'long edge' and 'short edge', (and false edge/ true edge), came from.
