sorry for the artifacts. 2012 is the last year I had old computer that had all my original SAI files that I didn't back up. regardless, there she is in all of her brony hatin', sad retconned yoshi turned retconned pony ways. Gosh, I really didn't have my crap together back then.
I think the thing that hurts the most abou this is the weird proportions before I properly learned how top/head heavy MLP horses are. otherwise, it's kinda neat to see how the design has evolved, no?

actually, I got some advice on that pretty early on!
when trying to draw Show accurate ponies, you'll notice that the head accounts for quite a bit of a pony's body. when drawing a pony in profile, I learned to draw a big circle for the head, and a small vendiagram underneath. for the average pony body, their bodies tend to be no longer than the lengh of the head, and the lgs tend to be no taller than the head.
This of course, changes on taller ponies like Fleur de lis, the princesses, Bulk Biceps, etc.
