Based in a curious Mayan tale about a hen who was up in the branches of a tree and a treacherous coyote who tries to get her; my pal wants his own customized version of the tale with his Coyote character Xyk.
He let me some liberties and suggests using elements more accurate for a Mayan environment like the Kukulcan column and using a Quetzal girl instead a hen, and of course giving Xyk a funny personality.
As a note apart, in my times on an animation Studio I made some textures and graphic libraries to use in jungle & forest artworks, so good to use them again in this one. So fun working this one!
And this even gives me more ideas about Xyk.

Ah.. long ago I was join in a good proyect about an animated Mayan movie, but it was crashed and all our efforts were just archivated & tombed. But thanks to this commissioner I can take some old elements to made this image.
I think I like animated style too.
Surelly I feel alive making these themes. And who knows? Maybe could be a day I will do something bigger to a company or my people.
BTW: he, he.. I love your version of Xyk too, that battle with Talbain looks so funny! He, he, he...

esta sumamente perfecto, al igual que muchos de tus otros dibujos, el fondo es algo impresionante, las expresiones y todo le da mucha vida el dibujo, se logra visuliazar todo tan bien.
