Cathrine is a magician of great ill repute for her incompotence and inability to ever get her spells to do the right thing. She has been kicked out of every adventuring party she has joined because of her frequent miss-cast spells or magical mishaps.

She has teamed up with Tharkis the barbarian adventurer, who has had similar problems finding an adventuring party, and the two of them make up the perfect combination of mayhem and misfortune !

Cathrine once had a cat familiar, but her familiar got caught up in a magical explosion while she was brewing a batch of potions... her familiar is now fused with her cauldron, and although transformed into some half iron cauldron half kitty cat beast, they don't seem much worse for the wear. Cathrine probably has the world's only cauldron that will follow you around the workshop and rub against your leg. As a result of this magical mishap however, her familiar usually stays at home when she's adventuring, at least they dont need to be fed anymore!
