Its totally cool how nimble this aircraft is for as large as it is.

Take off and landing within 1500 feet, use of reverse thrust to back the aircraft up (quite useful on small landing strips in places like the jungle).
Full performance 360 turn in 4000 feet
Slow speed "powered lift" at 82MPH

I was immensely surprised at how agile it was, especially taking off. Just, BAM! 45 degrees up into the air! :O

I considered that the best part of the air show when the Air Force base here had their airshow (they do an airshow every two years in October, in between those years, they do the 4th of July fireworks, while the years they do the airshow, the city does the fireworks).

Most boring part of that airshow was the Canadian Snowbirds. THough, it didn't help that it was cold and cloudy and misty that day.

Hey I was there too :D I missed the first half hour because I was stuck in a mile-long line on the freeway hehe

Heh, I got there eeearly. 9th car in the parking lot, if I remember, correctly. Decided to leave early, too, to beat traffic, but that didn't turn out so well. Ended up sitting in the car for almost two hours, and I missed the F-22 demo, anyway. :<
