I've always loved this song, this comic is dead on in the feel of the song. You did a wonderful job on this!

what's comic about?

Well, this was a school work a few years ago. I was listening to this song a lot back then, so it was kinda natural to use it as a base for my comic.

The characters, symbolism and story is from one of my headworlds which will hopefully someday materialize into a few graphic novels.

I've been actually working on redrawing this comic, we'll see if I can actually finish it.

but whats it about?

Well, I tried to make symbolic short story of one of the main characters having an epiphany in his dream. He has been strongly idealistic all his life. Because of this idealism he joined in the army only to realize that all his beliefs were just something he was taught, just customs and traditions, not something he truly believed himself.

These days the character has changed quite a bit and the story has focused more on to his relationships later in life, rather than his whole biography.

It's funny how while writing this I suddenly realized that I've come up with this character and his story during the time that I was starting to get away from strict, conservative revivalist movement I was born into. That might explain a lot about making this character an idealist who is let down by everything he's taught to believe in.
