This is my Pterinochilus murinus. In the hobby this species is also jokingly called 'Orange Bitey Thing' or OBT short.
Why? Weeeeeeeeell....they have quite the temper. Or flee like chickens. One of the two extremes. XD
But this boy so far behaved very well, rehousing him went damn smoothly and as a reward he got a nice grasshopper for nomming. :)

Depends on the species. This one is rather aggressive.
In general you can say that species from the new world are more docile than the old world tarantulas. But you can find psychos and docile one in every species XD
But yeah, most of them dont give a damn about you if you let them be and dont startle them.

But it's with every other pet/animal. If it has a mouth, it can bite. If it has claws, it can scratch and so on. Most important thing is to know how to care for them and know their behaviour/body language.
If someone asks me if Im not afraid to get bitten I say well...do you ask every dog owner the same thing? :'D

Yeah that's like my old cobalt blue. All it ever did was go into its pissy stance. Which is why when I was moving my new one I was trying not to freak out since it wouldn't stay in and kept crawling up my arm. Granted though it's still only about the size of a silver dollar.
