Kate stands at the landing of the stairs panting heavily.
She's done it! She's made it up!
She had no idea how hard it would be on her though. She knows soon she might not be able to get up out of a chair on her own if this keeps going. But for now she is at the mercy of the Hunger. She simply can't help but to eat, and to excess. Yes, being this big has many drawbacks. She enjoys being cuddly, but this mobility thing is the pits.
She understands people like her mom and Dave even more now as she's become one of them with this affliction.
She feels for the ones who are unable to move at all, let alone climb stairs.
