Last one for today. I did a sketch of Magnus in Modern kit, wearing Ballistic armour and carrying a Bullpup caseless carbine. Little did I know then, that Caseless ammo was a technological dead end for small arms, and that KelTec would come out with a nearly identical Bullpup in 2016, as this is from 2007. The MOLLE striped ballistic vest is a call back to his lamellar plastron chest protector, but such vests were common amongst Marines in the early phases of the Iraq war.
