Well since people seem to like my growly boi, Magnus. here are some Magnus pics to enjoy. The first is Magnus and the armsmen, but on full battle rattle, getting ready fort a fight. The Armsman is wearing a standard, enlisted Legionary's helmet Magnus is wearing his standard armor, but with an early design of a Lupine Officer's helmet. I am not satisfied with the design so I dropped it after this pic, and haven't come up with a new one since. I am hesitant to put a full face covering helmet, for two reasons. One is the the late late classical period, where such helmets were rare, and two I don't see Lupines as tolerating a full face covering easily. Pencil, on cardstock. R U G G E L S / 2 0 0 7

More of Magnus, that blustering PitA.
I agree about the full face mask. When my Corgi character first visited the Human world, it was necessary to disguise her identity, so her host suggested one of the long motorcycle helmets. Aside from the residual scents of the previous wearer, she didn't like the fit or the helmet so close to her muzzle.

Full face helmets would probably come in the future, as warfare evolved, much as it did here. But right now, iron and steel armors are not common, and Bronze is easier to work with. Most iron and steel helmets would be rivited from a lot of small curved plates. I still have to work out a better helmet design for people who aren't Imperials, who have plain, practical items (see; Virinia's helmet).
