I bike to work everyday, but the sidewalks around my workplace are in terrible condition. I got distracted for one damn second, didn't see a pothole and, next thing I knew, there was a floor on my face.

Oh man, that happened to me once. But I was racing someone. The smallest hump stopped me dead, but I was completely air-born. Hit the sidewalk chest first and knocked the wind out of myself. I was a kid, so not being able to breathe for those few seconds was terrifying.
But hey, hope you're alright. Picture looks great though

Pfft, that's nothing. I was riding my bike one time and accidentally rode right into an area of the sidewalk that was being restored. I hit the wet cement, made it a couple of feet before the wheels sunk all the way in (never realized how deep sidewalk cement was) and flipped over the handlebars, landed face first in knee deep wet cement. Needless to say, I'm officially panicking as my eyes, nose, and even mouth are obstructed with cement. I furiously trying to wipe my face with my shirt, which now like the rest of me, is also covered in cement. After what seemed like eternity, I finally cleared my mouth enough to breathe, and one eye enough to see. The construction crew was now gathered around me looking at the mess I had become and the ruined sidewalk that probably took them hours to do. The walk home was one of the most embarrassing moments in my life as I was easily a mile away and had to do it in now dry cement.
Little road rash there.
Reminded of an old co-worker. He was riding down a wooded trail when a tree just jumped out in front of him.
He stands up, brushes himself off, looks down and goes "Huh, my collar bone is sticking out of my skin. That can't be good."
Then walks his bike back to his car and drives himself to the hospital.

While the art piece is funny and slaptistic well made i do as a fellow biker condole in the unfortunate event of it. Some parts of the road can be dangerous if not noticed. Hope it wasen't that hard of a smack and you have marked this point in your memory as being dangerous and avoid it in the future as we know it's going to take centuries before it's fixed.
