There are lots of layers to this scene to consider and admire. How Mort's tongue lifts Noah up before curling around him in the second panel, smooth and non-fumbly because they're both so wet by now. The spark of red which is probably Noah's crushed arm, hurting him enough that being softly choked down is waning his ability to stay conscious, or maybe Mort is chewing it some more? And I don't assume these thoughts are appropriate for Mort's ways, but his very pliable tongue still has me thinking about him lengthily savoring someone in and out while they're still in his mouth.
