Haha, this is so cute! I like the pose. The forearm seems to short, however and the hand a bit small. Try lengthening out the arm next time. Also, the elbow looks broken because of the position of the hand. The buttons on her hair should be a little more 3d-we should be able to see the slight edge of teh button. I love how you did the hair. The boobs might look a tiny bit better a little down by the shapes are gorgeous. Typically speaking, the right elbow should be in the center of the stomach. Look in the mirror and make the same pose and you will see that I mean. The hand is also a little small, in my opinion. The eyes are beautiful. The thighs look flat. I think this is an easy fix, however. Just make the stripers rounder; draw some circles if you need to to help you. Lastly, I think that her stomach drops a little too sharply and should be just a little bit...fatter. Lol. Lastly, I think that it would have looked better if you had the fur marks all across her stockings. I love this picture, however, and I hope this helps.
The stockings don't have to do with shading. If you compare her right leg to the left, you'll see that her right leg is a lot rounder and "3D" than her left. Look at the way the line peaks, which makes it more circular whereas on her left leg, the peak is more to the right. If it was closer to the inner thigh, this would make it more 3d. I understand what you mean about shading, though. I often find a lot of my drawings look flat without a whole lot of shading, but sometimes it's the way it's drawn, too. :) I understand that it is more stylized, but these are just my thoughts, hopefully which are helpful to you.
I understand what you mean and what you're getting at. I know we all have good art days and bad art days; but that doesn't mean that you can't take what someone says and apply it to the next piece. (In essence, food for thought.)
I can look through your gallery, but honestly, I cannot give a whole-base critique. That would be too much.
But certain pieces can say a lot about your potential, if you know what I mean.
Even if you don't agree with a critique, at least you can appreciate the time that they spent writing the critique. After all, they might be right on some things. :)
When I critique, I critique based on the fact that they'll be drawing something in the future.
